Autark on Android.

What you need

• Android 8 or newer.
• Autark running on at least one of your PCs. The phone finds it by its Remote ID, in any network.

Install on Android

1. Download autark-android-lite.apk on the phone. Chrome may ask whether to keep the file; keep it.
2. Open it. The first time, Android asks to allow installs from your browser: choose Settings, turn on Allow from this source, go back and choose Install. Leave Play Protect on. If it only warns that it does not know the developer, choose More details, then Install anyway.
3. Connect it to your company. Open Autark on the phone and type your PC’s Remote ID (on the PC: Settings → Devices), or scan the QR code shown there. Both screens show the same short code. Choose Accept on the PC.
4. Done. The phone now belongs to your company, not to one PC: the same chats, tasks and notifications as on every PC you linked. Read on one device, read everywhere.

Updates come inside the app: a line at the top says when a new version exists. Update downloads it with its progress, checks it against the published SHA-256 and hands it to Android; the first time Android asks you to allow installs from Autark, then you confirm the update.

No phone use by agents in this version: Play Protect blocks apps from outside the Play Store that ask for Accessibility, so the APK on this page leaves it out. Chats, tasks, notifications, the microphone and the camera work as before.

Check the file

Every release publishes SHA256SUMS.txt. The hash of your download must match the line for autark-android-lite.apk:

Updates

When a new version exists, a line at the top of the app says so. Update downloads it in the app with its progress, checks it against the published SHA-256, and Android installs it over the old one after you confirm. Most changes need no new APK at all, because the interface comes from your PC.
